First off, the scratch on my chin is from my dumb cat. And thank you Dan from Normal Guy Supercar channel for spearheading all of this! Anyways, I have some great news! I am partnering up with a local Ferrari mechanic who comes with a solid and lengthy reputation. In fact, many of you have commented about them and I went up and visited them a few weeks ago and am very impressed with the way they do business and the quality of service they provide to their customers. In hopes of speeding up parts of the service process, I was asked to list all of what I know about the history of the car and what I think is wrong with it. Being that this is my first Ferrari, many parts of this car are still foreign to me, but I’m starting to figure out how to repeat problems. I have no idea what this is going to cost and I assume it’s not cheap. But I bought a Ferrari and want it in perfect working order as it was advertised, even if I now have to unfortunately pay to repair it, because CNC is well… not in operation. When I bought it, they said both fuel pumps were replaced and all tires and windshield wipers. Even though when I made an offer, none of that was performed until moments before I picked up the car. When driving from Southern to Northern CA in January when I bought this, the heat exchanger cracked and then flooded my gearbox with coolant and water. It was going into neutral while in 6th gear about 15 times. The next day it was going into neutral in between all gears and was erratic. Coolant and oil were puddling up on my garage floor. From a local mechanic here who was diagnosing it (who wishes to remain anonymous), he was thinking that the gearbox needed replacing, if not a flush. He replaced a speed sensor saying that was my issue, but nope. He said the F1 reservoir was near empty. Probably from years of seeping fluid. When CNC had it, they replaced the heat exchanger and flushed the gearbox, but still was shifting weird. The clutch has 42% left on it. But I’ve heard that they can fail as early as 70%. I don’t know the state of the transmission. The belts have a date of 2016 on them and I was told that sometimes they can sit on the shelf for a while before being installed, but I’m sure it’s getting time to replace them. When I bought it, there were zero records that came with it. The Carfax that I purchased had some good info on where it was serviced, but nothing after 2017. Cigarette lighter/ash tray/ charge cable. I’d like to remove the cupholder that the previous owner installed and put back the OEM ashtray and lighter. Air conditioning doesn’t blow cold air. Center air vent is broken. Radio and CD changer (radio worked when I bought it, but cd changer never did and now nothing works) This isn’t mechanical, but it bugs me so much. Someone had some crazy rough sand paper hands and messed up the paint in the front between when I got it and all the transports it had. Very sad about this. Recommendations for paint protections welcome. Once about 2 weeks ago it displayed the current temperature in the gauges, but that was a one time thing. I don’t know if its always supposed to do that? Ive been told that this is the first gen computer which can be buggy, so maybe that’s a lot of my issues. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/thr... When driver side rear wheel fell off, I believe when the cars weight came down on the disc brake, it warped it. Not sure what other damage was done. When a fan turns on in the front driver wheel well, its hitting some electrical wires and causing some bad noises and squeaks. Twice while driving it, a very loud noise happens where it sounds like some mechanical pump is sucking something that isn’t there. I usually just pull over, turn the car off and wait a few minutes and then it stops. I often get a display with a UFO and some triangles. I believe that is a suspension sensor, or suspension is bad? Every now and then, I get loud beeping if I press the accelerator. I turn the car off and then it seems to go away. The front trunk hydraulics don’t hold the hood up When I start the car up, it doesn’t sound that great from what other Ferrari owners tell me When I shift into 2nd, if I keep accelerating, I can get it into 3rd. The second I let off the accelerator, it goes into neutral. It needs to keep revving to stay in 2nd. I usually can’t down shift or it goes into N. Ive found that most other gears seem to be reliable. It sometimes goes into N when reversing. If you are owed by CNC Motors, please visit https://ngsc.me/cnc and fill out the form. Follow Normal Guy Supercar to watch this saga unfold. I am just one of MANY. / dbhurlbert
