February 2000, Michael Calce was responsible for DDoS attacks against large commercials websites like Yahoo, Amazon, eBay, CNN and others. At the time, Calce was a 15 year old high school student in Montreal. And the notorious hacker ‘MafiaBoy'. With the attack, he caused an estimated $1.7 billion in damage. Because of this, US president Bill Clinton called the first cybersecurity summit. Today Michael Calce helps companies fight cybercrime and is Chairman of the HP Security Advisory Board. November 2017, Calce was invited by HP in the Netherlands to attend its Security Customer Event (in the former prision De Vrij Wolf in the city of Utrecht). Also, he was a keynote speaker at Infosecurity, the largest Tech Conference in the Netherlands.
