Exploring fluid art layering with a transparent base and visible underpainting. In this video, I continue my experiment using Owatrol Floetrol as a transparent base for fluid art and acrylic pouring, applied on top of a canvas that I already painted with paddle brushes. As long as Iβve been working with paint, Iβve been obsessed with layers, transparency, and depth, and in this piece I try to push that even further by combining different techniques. My earlier exploration with paddle brushes now takes a new direction, by combining it with fluid art swipes and acrylic pouring techniques. Iβm curious to see where this experiment with layering, transparent bases, and fluid art will lead me next. Whether you're here to learn more about fluid art techniques or simply enjoy the soothing process of paint in motion, I hope this video inspires you! Donβt forget to like, comment, and subscribe if you enjoy bold colors, paint in motion, and the occasional artistic gamble! Thank you so much for being here! Love Suzan, #fluidart #arttutorial #abstractart #paddlebrush #colorlayering #arttherapy #satisfyingart #maskingtape #acrylicpouring #swipes What I used for the underpainting: 60 x 60 cm canvas Liquitex Free-Style Paddle Brushes Masking tape Soft pastel pencil white Amsterdam matte acrylic medium Liquitex Fluid Acrylics Mars Black Ttanium White Tri-Art Liquid Acrylics Viridian Hue What I used for the pour: Owatrol floerol for the transparant base The colors I used (heavy body or regular acrylic paint): Talens Art Creation Titanium White Golden Turquoise (Phthalo) Tri-Art Interference Turquoise TLP Prehnite Golden Titan Green Pale Eye Candy Pigments Macaw Blue Green TLP Abalone Golden Viridian Green Hue TLP Gilded I MIX MY COLORS also with Owatrol floetrol. Ratio depends on the pigmentation and thickness of the paint, also a very small amount of water added for consistency if needed. I first wet my PIGMENTS with a little GOLDEN GAC100 until I have a paste. Then I add a small scoop of binder (Caparol). I also use Owatrol as PM with the pigments and that is not paint. It therefore lacks the binding. And I personally don't like it when colors become 'runny'. So that's how I solve it. Then I also a bit of Gloss Gel and add Owatrol floetrol to this, I do that by eye, in the same consistency as the other colours. I make my CELL ACTIVATOR with acrylic paint and Australian floetrol (1:2 for swipes). I used Amsterdam Titanium White here. For the Gold cell activator I mix two different types of Gold. I use Golden Bright Gold and Amsterdam Deep Gold (1:3 approximately). Because Amsterdam works well, and Golden to make the color more beautiful! (Music: by Epidemic Sound)
