David and Erica spend the night in his suite, repeatedly making love. David jokes about them having sex 19 times since that's her lucky number (Emmy reference). They're interrupted by a phone call from the hospital about Dixie's test results. Erica feels rejected when David's attention isn't on her and dresses to leave. She tells him she's leaving on a trip with Bianca. He wants to call her but she says no, and the conversation turns to how Bianca is handling Dimitri's death and Erica's unwillingness to risk upsetting her daughter with news of whatever it is between Erica and David. They depart on a happy note, and David goes to the hospital, where he is stunned to see Alex Devane.
