Ballito North Coast Durban South Africa Whales and Dolphins

A short drone video I've put together about my life in a little town called Ballito up the North Coast of South Africa. During winter and Spring months ( June to October) its a Humpback whale freeway with mother whales and their young calves. We accosionally spot Southern Right Whales allthough they are more comanly found further South in colder South African Cape waters. These whales travel from the Southern hemosphere all the way up north into the warmer coastal Indian Ocean of South Africa and Mozambique to give birth and raise new born calves. In the early season months I regularly spot a single aldult mother whale traveling north with a young calf keeping close to her side. Later in the season I usually see two adult whales with one much bigger calf traveling south. It is believed that the mother whale team up with a male whale to escort them back south to protect them ... bassically acting as a bodyguard.
