Bastion is a game I've had for years but never got around to doing until this year. Overall, it was a fun experience. The platinum trophy requires doing at least 2 playthroughs, one of them in Score Attack Mode, which doesn't unlock until clearing the game for the first time. Fortunately, there's a duplication glitch that allows one to rush to the game's ending and unlock Score Attack quickly. Score Attack mode will be the main playthrough for actually doing everything. The duplication glitch is the only one used in this playthrough, but boy, does it make things easier. You can dupe upgrade items so you won't need to ever buy or hunt down more of them, and dupe mementos to get a lot of exp, meaning you could potentially reach the max level (level 10) at the start of the game! I only go up to level 7 by the end, but you could go higher if you want to. The main things to look out for in the Score Attack playthrough are some missable trophies, namely, talking to Zulf and Zia and turning in the Ragged Hood (Rucks), Plush Pyth (Zulf, do this before getting all cores), Pecker Nest (Zia), and Anklegator Egg (Zia) before getting all the cores and shards. These items can be bought at the Lost n Found facility if you didn't get them during the stages they're found in. All weapons each have their own individual challenge that you need to do for a trophy, which I try to do as soon as I get the weapon. The main exceptions are the Hammer, Fang Repeater, Calamity Cannon, Carbine, Fire Bellows and Mortar, which are cleaned up later as they are easier to do once you've upgraded the weapons. The last 3 weapons can be done in that weapon's Proving Ground Trial (need to get first place prize in 7 of these for a vigil). Other than the Machete, all the Proving Grounds are saved for later, until I can upgrade all the weapons. Aside from that, the main game shouldn't be too difficult to go through, even without resorting to duping. The real challenge lies in the 4 dreams, which need to be done with all idols active (essentially a max difficulty setting). The dreams are survival arenas where you have to face at least 20 waves of enemies and survive to the end. Being at least level 7, and having the Pike, Hammer, and Mortar fully upgraded, will get you through most of them. There should only be a few troublesome waves, and those can usually be handled by playing safely and not taking too many risky moves. 0:00 - Start Normal Mode 8:06 - How to Dupe 12:07 - Start Score Attack 1:41:16 - Singer's Dream with 10 Idols 1:49:50 - Stranger's Dream with 10 Idols 2:13:55 - Survivor's Dream with 10 Idols 2:27:23 - Kid's Dream with 10 Idols
