Darryl Robert Schoon is a financial analyst famous for having predicted the 2008 market crash. He is author of Light in a Dark Place: The Prison Years. He has also written a novel titled You Can't Always Get What You Want. He is a minister with the Temple of Universality in Tucson, Arizona. Although he was able to achieve enormous financial success, ultimately he ended up in prison with a ten-year sentence for drug dealing. While in prison, he expanded his meditation practice, achieving a state of oneness, and began questioning the subconscious factors that were running his life in spite of his conscious intentions. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series.
