Samir Mehta, MD is the Chief of Orthopaedic Trauma at Penn Medicine. Dr Samir Mehta is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic trauma and fracture surgeon, treating fractures and injuries of the arms, legs and pelvis. His goal is to improve function by restoring form, including fixing fractures that have just happened, along with fractures that may not be healing or may have healed incorrectly. Dr Mehta is the Medical Director at both the Biedermann Orthopaedic Lab and Orthopaedic Clinical Research. Dr Mehta is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. In addition, Dr Mehta holds several local, national, and international positions with respect to orthopaedic trauma, helping define the goals of care for the next generation of surgeons.
