Busy Saturday Trains at Carlisle 17 Jan 2026

First Saturday at Carlisle Station after the Clifton bridge blockade and the West Coast Main Line reopened. The Tesco train was double headed - with a PAIR of class 66s! That after the failure of the Down Russell contract train on Shap the previous evening. Only the Up and Down Malcolm contract intermodals ran today - no idea if the others were either not needed or maybe diverted. Plenty of Passenger action though and we see a few scenes of the busier periods. The times shown on clips are for guidance only and shouldn't be taken as definitive.
