A new study by Uta Bolt, Assistant Professor at the School of Economics, delves into this question by examining essays written by 11-year-old girls back in 1969. Using machine learning and text analysis, the research establishes a direct link between conformity with gender norms and the impact on later life outcomes, highlighting the importance of promoting gender equality and fostering a more equitable society.
