Today, we will take a look at an 1:28 scale body from an Austrian company called Jomurema. They make RTRs and kits as well, but the most well known product is definitely this GT-01 body that's simply known as Jomurema. In this video, I'll touch upon why it's such a popular choice in the racing scene. Then we will assemble the body. This body will go on my GLR-GT, my main RCP car. So why do people love to race with this Jomurema body? Clearly not for its appearance. I can think of several reasons. (1) With its aerodynamics and weight distribution, it provides a neutral handling characteristics similar to the popular Audi R8 body. (2) There are no little dive planes or splitter on the front bumper to get caught on an RCP track. This body is more forgiving to crashes. (3) The plastic construction seems thicker and more durable than Kyosho's autoscale bodies. (4) With ample wheel arches, the body can easily handle up to +3 offsets and suspension travel needs. (5) The rear wing is functional and durable. However, at 37g, the body is heavier than 12C's 29g. The extra weight is not insignificant. In the bag, we have the body, windows, lights, rear wing, body mounting parts, and a sticker sheet. I bought the pre-painted orange version. It also comes in white, yellow, and blue. I started the assembly process by gluing the separate headlight lenses into the body. I'm using BSI extra thick CA glue for this job. It was easy and tidy. The headlight pieces fit perfectly. I appreciate that they look realistic and aren't just stickers. Also, it looks like LED can be installed too. The rear light lenses were a bit less straightforward. They didn't fit as well. After some troubleshooting, I needed to file down a tiny bit of one of the four circular openings on the body. No problem after that. The window piece fit well through the 6 protruding tabs. I should CA glue them or melt the tabs, but I'm going to run as is and see if in the future I want to replace the roof with lexan. Gluing the side body mounts was the trickiest part because they needed to be even, and they determined the rear ride height. Thanks to recommendations by experienced users, I was told to glue the side mounts 1mm lower to ensure rear wheel clearance. Here's a quick test fit. The 98mm wheelbase length was spot on. The tires also had good clearance from wheel arches. These are 14mm extra wide wheels. This is one of the big benefits of using the Jomurema body. With the wing installed, we were done with the assembly! The wing looks functional. This is what it looks like mounted on a GLR-GT. It's running -1 offset 11mm low profile PN tires front, and 0 offset 14mm PN radial rear. The body fits very snugly on the body clips without rattling. Wheel clearance is good, and plenty of clearance for the chassis too. Yeah, it's not the best looking body out there. After a few years of RCing, I was bound to have collected a few sticker sheets. I was new to all this so I had a few mishaps cutting out the stickers. Tada! I usually prefer a clean look so I didn't go crazy with stickers. The cutting and sticking were far from good, but for a beater race body, it's going to be alright. Here it is parked next to the McLaren 12C and Audi R8 LMS 2015. This orange color is going to be highly visible against the black of an RCP track. I may end up adding some additional lines to help identify the orientation of the car. I'm hoping to have a chance to run the car soon! This is Sammy and thanks for watching! Jomurema GT-01: https://www.microrcsyndicate.com/prod...
