Before to long, he found himself alone with all the lights dimmed inside and all the exit doors locked. Spending the night in the dark medieval church appeared to be unquestionable destiny. The story of the song was born while spending time inside the dark cathedral waiting for some kind of resolve. The song “W Krakowie w Kościele Mariackim” (In the St. Mary’s Church in Krakow) is recorded on Volume 3 - of the “Biało-Czerwoni / The White And Red Band”. The album was originally released on vinyl LP in 1980. It is one of the iconic songs associated with the White And Red Band – Biało-Czerwoni. The song is a love story that beautifully begun in the St. Mary’s Cathedral in Kraków. Two lovers are praying together before one of them will soon depart far away. The feeling at that moment was, that this might be the last time that they are together. However, the one that departs makes a promise in his heart, that he will come back and they will be standing before the alter of St. Mary’s Cathedral, as man and wife. We are very fortunate to be able to film this video inside the famous St. Mary’s Cathedral in Kraków. The lyrics and the music are written by the leader of the band Zbigniew Marlon Kasprzyk.
