According to the CDC (Center for Disease Control) the second leading cause of death for people from ages 10-34 was suicide in 2016. THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE. We as people MUST raise awareness about how to combat and prevent suicide. In the age of technology we can either use technology for evil or for the greater good. I hope that people choose the latter. I became apart of the #stayalivechallenge because I battled with suicidal thoughts and attempted it twice. First with pills when I was 12 years old, again when I was 19 and the last time was when I was 29 after the passing of my father. I am grateful that GOD always sent someone seemingly randomly to intervene. We must equip ourselves and others on how to cope with the difficulties and tragedies of life. I am making it my life goal to use every gift, talent, skill, song and all my creativity to help people want to live even when they may feel they have no reason too. Life is a precious gift and so if I can encourage or inspire anyone to continue living then my purpose is fulfilled. After constantly asking for my life to end I understand how serious of an issue this is so I am apart of the #stayalivechallenge.
