For ICAST 2020, Okuma Fishing introduced a new series of rods called the Cavalla series to compliment the Cavalla series of lever drag reels. These new rods are pretty phenomenal. They are lightweight and very durable. The new Okuma Cavalla reels are the little brother of the popular Okuma Makaira reels and the replacement for the Metaloid. I've had the opportunity to fish these rods for the past couple of months and really like these rods a lot. Coming in at just about $100, they really should be in every saltwater anglers quiver. With a 6 foot X-Heavy jigging models and standard boat actions in 7 foot in Medium, Medium Heavy , Heavy and X-Heavy, as well as a couple of spinning models. With Fuji components and high end 316 stainless guides with zirconium inserts, these rods are great.
