This small Perennial plant has been overlooked for a time now. Lychnis coronaria aka Rose campion! Back in the day it was used for wound healing, wick making, poison treatment from bites(again wound treatments) Here are some ways to use it. -One can simply crush the seeds(after saving them) or the leaves and stems with some water and apply to the skin to help the body heal faster. -Digging up the root and crushing or smashing it with water or even boiling it makes a soap like mixture. This can be used for a soap substitute to wash with. After making the mixture you can then use it to stun fish to then eat. This is due to the saponin in the plant. -Due to the saponins in the plant one can extract that with water(of various degrees/temp) and then also use an alcohol based such as a tincture. I would recommend using the rose Campion tincture as a external liniment(alc. spray) for wounds care.
