Best ACL Exercises - Non Surgical Rehab - Miki Burton, RMT and exercise instructor, in collaboration with Dr. Brian Abelson, developer of Motion Specific Release, demonstrate effective exercise and treatment procedures for the rehabilitation of ACL injuries. Partially torn ACLs (anterior cruciate ligaments) often have a favourable prognosis, with the recovery and rehabilitation period typically lasting approximately three months. Approximately half of ACL injuries occur concomitantly with damage to the meniscus, articular cartilage, or the MCL or LCL ligaments. A critical aspect of post-rehabilitation assessment is determining the stability of the patient's ACL to prevent further damage. Contemporary research supports weight bearing and an immediate exercise program with range of motion exercises for the majority of cases. Consult with your medical practitioner to determine the most suitable approach for your specific case.
