The 5 stages of grief or the 7 stages of grief depending on who you ask looks at the grieving cycle – signs of depression, feeling sad, feeling down, or feeling low so that we can have some comfort that these feelings are all normal and a part of mourning or grief and that eventually we can be happy again. It doesn’t necessarily mean the death of a loved one. Grieving can also be triggered by a break up, divorce, or job loss. Any significant life event that ends can cause mourning. In this video, I go through the 7 stages of grief so that we can better understand ourselves and our situations. We can find resilience and opportunity even in the darkest of times. We, as humans will all experience grief on some level during our lifetime. It is important that we open up and talk about how we are feeling, feel the sadness fully and not ignore it so that we can live more fully and in the present.
