Through legendary albums like Ready to Die (1994) and Life After Death (1997), Biggie helped redefine East Coast hip hop with unmatched storytelling, charisma, and lyrical precision. Tragically, he was murdered on March 9, 1997 in Los Angeles at only 24 years old. But legends never die — and Biggie’s voice still echoes through hip hop culture across the world. I’m DJ Side B, a DJ and beatmaker from Israel. As a kid growing up thousands of miles away from Brooklyn, I discovered Biggie later in my youth — but once I heard his music, it changed everything.
