We woke up at around 4:30 am and quickly got ready for the day ahead. After taking a bath, we caught a bus at 5:00 am to reach Dublin Heuston Station by 5:30 am, just in time for our early morning train at 5:45 am bound for Galway. Upon arriving in Galway, we checked into our hostel, Woodquay Hostel, and placed our luggage in their lockers so we could travel light for the island adventure. The key focus that morning was to make it to the Aran Island Ferries departure, which was scheduled for 8:30 am. While booking with Aran Island Ferries, we noticed different ferry options to the three major Aran Islands—Inis Mór, Inis Meáin, and Inis Oírr. We chose to visit Inis Mór, the largest and most popular of the islands. Booking the ferry through Aran Island Ferries gave us the option to include a transit bus from Galway city to Rossaveal Pier, which is about a 40–50 minute journey. The transit bus departed promptly, taking us to the pier, where we boarded the ferry for Inis Mór. The ferry ride was scenic and enjoyable, offering beautiful views as we crossed over to the island. Once on Inis Mór, we spent the day exploring the island’s amazing landscapes, historical sites, and unique culture. For the return journey, we had already pre-booked our ticket, ensuring a smooth trip back. Our return ferry departed Inis Mór around 5:00 pm, arriving back at Rossaveal Pier at approximately 5:40 pm. From there, we caught the transit bus back to Galway, reaching the city around 6:15–6:20 pm. After arriving in Galway, we returned to Woodquay Hostel and freshened up. That evening, we treated ourselves to dinner at a local restaurant called Osteria da Simone, known for its Italian cuisine. We enjoyed a relaxing meal reflecting on the memorable day. The following day, we made our way back to Dublin, wrapping up a truly unforgettable trip to the Aran Islands.
