We finally get to start our summer camping season and our first stop of the year is the classic Alberta ghost town of Rowley. It's time for the monthly pizza night when local volunteers kick open the door of Sam's Saloon and take over the community centre to cook pizzas and sling beer for hundreds of people who travel from all corners of the province to attend. The pizza night raises funds to support the town and help the locals preserve and maintain the classic buildings, including three grain elevators, a livery barn, the aforementioned Sam's Saloon, a church, a railway station, and a one-room school. Part ghost town, part movie set, part museum -- Rowley is a little bit of everything. As always, thanks for coming along for the ride!
