Sometimes, bad years just happen. And this includes for natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions. Today's video will discuss the worst and unluckiest years in recent human history in terms of the sheer number and scope of various volcano related natural disasters. This is all told through the knowledge and analysis of a geologist. Thumbnail Photo Credit: U.S. Geological Survey (Data Owner), Hoblitt, Richard P. (Photographer), "View of native house on flanks of Pinatubo. Mount Pinatubo, Philippines. 1991.", USGS Denver Library Photographic Collection, Public Domain, https://library.usgs.gov/photo/index.... Note: The thumbnail photo displays the aftermath of the 1991 eruption of Mount Pinatubo. Surprisingly, 1991 does not land in the top 10 recent worst years list for volcanic disasters.
