Cross-border payments have had challenges with currency conversion, regulation, speed of transactions and the high cost of remittance. What could the future of cross-border payments look like? Do the solutions lie in Central Bank Digital Currencies or crypto like XRP? In this exciting webinar Candice Mesk, a blockchain enabler for a local bank provides insights into the challenges with the current cross border payment network and how crypto solutions like the Ripple network can provide the answer. John Singh is a Senior ABAP consultant at BTEC consulting and has been involved in software design and development for over 20 years. He is also currently the vice chairman of the IITPSA and the chairman of the Remuneration committee. In 2019 he started an IITPSA Blockchain SIG because he is passionate about presenting Blockchain in a simple and understandable way so that individuals can make better decisions on how they wish to use the technology. Candice Mesk is a director of the Developer User Group, a not-for-profit community-led organisation, organiser of DevConf and works in a Blockchain Enabler for a local bank in the role of Application Development Head.
