Our Room Nr 6 Bayethe Lodge in Shamwari Private Game Reserve

We had the very last room (it's actually a cottage I would say, but they call it "rooms"). It was quite a walk and Dad stopped at each bit of shade to rest. It was hot! The sun was blasting us with its rays. The reserve is shaped like a horseshoe and we were booked into the lodge on the furthest South point. They give you a call at 5h00 in the morning. At 5h30 you have your morning tea. 6h00 the Game Drive departs By 9h00 we were back at the lodge for breakfast and normally at 11h00 you check out. Lunchtime is from 12h00 to 14h00 with an afternoon tea break at 15h30. The afternoon game drive departs at 15h45 till 19h00 and from 19h30 dinner is served. The lodge manager is Nina and the name of our ranger is Sihle. They were very helpful and friendly - always made sure everything was alright. We really had a good time. They keep you occupied, so there is not much time to wander around or be bored. The food was delicious and very tasty. Boy-oh-boy, and did we eat! They made sure that you don't go hungry! Otherwise, we slept well and just had an overall relaxing and fun time in nature.
