As the war in the Middle East enters its third week Iran has rejected a statement by the US president that it wants a deal to end the war. Iran's foreign minister said it has not asked for a ceasefire or negotiations, describing the claim as "delusional.” Donald Trump has declared that the US has, in his words, "essentially defeated Iran."
