Hi there everyone! It's with a heavy heart that I have to announce that this month's #IsolationPubSession will be the last monthly one for the foreseeable future (if anyone knows what the future looks like at all!) ... due to gigging commitments I won't have time to do this any more until at least November. So let's give it one last big push and make this one the best ever. We're revisiting the first set of tunes that we ever did back in March 2020, Off to California and The Harvest Home ... and then we play the beautiful slow air The Yellow Hair'd Laddie which many of you joined in with for last Summer's Shrewsbury Folk Festival big band. All you have to do is play along with this video and record yourself doing so ... preferably on headphones ... then send me a link to the video somewhere online (YouTube, Google Drive, WeTransfer etc.) ... you don't have to play even ... in the past we've had dancers, people just watching and drinking beer ... I'll include any footage I'm sent! If I get enough early on I'll do a first mix on Wednesday ... and I'll need your videos by Saturday night if I'm to include you in the final final mix. I'll try and get it mixed and uploaded next Sunday ... but it may take a little longer as I'm in rehearsals. Thank you to everyone who has taken part in any of these from the regulars to people who just joined in with one. It's been a really fun thing to do. I hope you enjoy my videos. If you would like to support me in these times when it is impossible to gig I have a web shop with paper and digital copies of my tune books you can buy along with CDs, and there's also a donate button if you felt like contributing something towards my time making these. You can find it at https://johnspiers.co.uk/shop ... Thank you!
