Understanding Proper Nouns | This video reinforces the concept of the noun as a basic building block of spoken and written language. It illustrates and provides examples of proper nouns in everyday life. It highlights the use of proper nouns in speaking and writing as tools to make communication skills more specific by painting a clearer picture for the reader. This video address the need for proper nouns to be capitalized, but places a bigger emphasis on how using proper nouns enhances written and spoken communication. Supported practice is included illustrating the use of proper nouns in simple sentence structures as a means of providing specific information to the reader.
