("Perfect" in this case means no deaths, no bombs, and all spells captured.) Whoo-hoo! I love shotgunning with Sanae C whenever I can! It deals massive damage that I think rivals Mountain of Faith's Marisa B! Of course, you gotta be real close to your target! Sanae C's shot type in this game does obscure many enemy bullets, and can be otherwise distracting, so you'll see me stop firing in a few places (although, with the first group of fairies at the very beginning, I stop firing so I don't kill them too quickly, so I can rack up graze). However, I actually do want to be firing during the second survival spell, because my shots actually make the bullets easier to see! It's of no use during the foggy part in the middle of the spell, but towards the end of it when the fog goes away and it's just the color-changing background that's hiding the bullets, my shots will actually reveal the hidden ones! Pulling this off took a good amount of practice, and learning which spells (and enemies in the stage portion) could be ended very quickly by shotgunning (which is most of them)! Somehow, I just barely fell short of my previous top score of 271,777,860 that I got shortly before this, in which I did use bombs, and also died once, but still captured everything (which is by far the most important part when it comes to scoring, as point items are nearly worthless in this game). I think it was because I had earned one more life from grazing than I did here, which made up for the death (extra lives are worth an additional 1 million each for the stage clear bonus, the only other halfway-decent source of points in this game). However, the game seems to have recorded this run's score as my new high score, which has got to be a glitch (obviously, it should only overwrite my previous high score if I actually beat it). Hmm...
