A great day trip from Chania or Rethymno is to the southern beaches of Crete, including Sfakia, Sweet Water Beach, Loutro, and Marmara with https://notosmare.com/. An hour and a half drive or so through beautiful valleys and gorges brings you to the jumping off town of Sfakia. From there, there are various water taxi services and ferries in the harbor which bring people to the series of beaches and towns of Sweet Water Beach, Loutro, and Marmara. In this video, Lefteris of Notos Mare Diving Center and Boat Rental in Sfakia talks us through the area and what visitors can expect from an adventure to these beaches, including the swimming, tavernas and restaurants.
