Among the key highlights were the inauguration of the Chenab Bridge, the world’s highest railway arch bridge, and the Anji Bridge, India’s first cable-stayed railway bridge—both engineering marvels and strategic assets under the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project. Calling it a turning point in the region’s development journey, the Prime Minister said, “From Kashmir to Kanyakumari is no longer a slogan—it is now a reality on India’s railway map.” He described the USBRL project as a symbol of “a new, empowered Jammu & Kashmir and a proclamation of India’s growing strength.” PM Modi emphasized that the Chenab and Anji bridges will serve as gateways to prosperity, boosting connectivity, tourism, and trade in the region. Reiterating India’s stance against terrorism, he said, “India will never bow to terrorism. The youth of Jammu and Kashmir are ready to give a befitting reply.” He also sent a strong message across the border, declaring, “Whenever Pakistan hears the name ‘Operation Sindoor,’ it will be reminded of its shameful defeat.” Calling Jammu and Kashmir the “crown jewel of India,” the Prime Minister underlined the Centre’s commitment to fast-tracking development and integration of the region. #vandebharatexpress #KatraSrinagarVandeBharatTrain #USBRL #pmmodi
