INTAKE MANIFOLD SPACER INSTALL! | SICO DEVELOPMENTS | FOCUS RS

I install the intake manifold spacer from SiCo Developments for my Ford Focus RS! The intake manifold spacer is machined from high grade aluminium and serves to extend each of the ports of the cylinder head. This has a number of benefits including increase in plenum volume which helps cylinder filling at lower RPM, smooth out throttle response, build boost sooner, lengthen the effective wave pulse of the intake charge and give a boost in power even without a map! The spacer also includes 8 threaded ports that can be used for aftermarket injection set-ups but also come with plugs for those just wanting to use the spacer on its own (like me for now!). The spacer is pretty simple to install, looks great and should provide a nice little performance boost! In this video, I do the the install, giving you an overview of the step by step process so you can have the intake manifold upgrade from Sico Developments in your Ford Focus RS (or Focus ST) in no time! SiCo Developments have done the work to make this not only visually pleasing but easy to install with the metal notches to ensure correct orientation and also the pre-installed rubber gaskets! The kit also comes complete with beautifully machined replacement engine cover posts that correct the spacing that will be thrown off by the fact that there are 2 posts on the intake manifold which has now of course moved. These are a little tight to get on and feature a screw to secure them in place. The tightness is really a good thing though as it inspires much confidence that they will not come loose!
