At daybreak M15 and E26 enjoyed time together in the nest tree, with M loudly vocalizing his presence to any outsiders at times, before M flew NE at 7AM. E26 showed off his/her ease on the veranda branch while watching for M's return. E26 also studied other branches to perhaps fly to, but did not choose a new branch while I was there. And a trip to the top of the veranda spike was a spectacular 'dance' for E26. When in the nest between veranda perching, E26 picked up and carried sticks. M15 returned at 9AM to an upper branch and E26 scrambled to the nest hoping for food. No food so E26 laid down for a 'nap'. M was vigilant of the area and then started vocalizing softly at times as if calling out for F23. Then M15 flew behind the church out of sight, returning within 10 minutes with a bird for E26. E26 looked for help from M to eat it but M didn't, most likely encouraging E26 to work on the food themself. M went to a higher branch, seeming to call for F23 again. And then M flew to the pond, scattering the smaller birds there, and returned with a fish for E26. E26 took bites from M as he also ate. Then E26 (apparently not that hungry) went back to the bird, walking with it in their talons and carrying it in their beak. When I left, M15 was again feeding E26 in the nest. F23 has not been seen since Friday morning at 8:12AM when she and M flew east together. Only M returned later that day. Here is our SWFEC official statement about F23: "F23 has not been in camera view since 8:12AM, on Friday, 2/27/2026. She and M15 were flying East. We know many of you are watching closely and care deeply about her. At this time, there is no confirmed sighting of F23 in the area. We are monitoring the situation and will provide updates if and when we have verified information. We have alerted FWC and CROW, our local wildlife Rehabilitation Center. If you see an injured or dead bald eagle in your area, please contact one of these services for immediate assistance. In the meantime M15 is taking great care of their offspring E26. He is providing food and protection. Please give M15 space to deal with what he needs to do at this time." Thank you SWFEC, hosted by Dick Pritchett Real Estate, for providing & maintaining a suitable environment for this Bald Eagle Family. www.SWFLEagleCam.com Thank you to Dick Pritchett Real Estate (SWFEC), Church of the Nazarene, Eagle Landing & several friends for allowing me to film on their premises. And thank you to my 'spotter'.
