INCREDIBLE Mount Cook/Aoraki & Tekapo Road Trip - Hooker Valley Track, Thermal Baths & More!

New Zealand’s South Island is full of jaw-dropping scenery, but this might just be the most beautiful spot of all! We’re road-tripping from Wanaka to Aoraki/Mount Cook, then continuing on to Lake Tekapo, and the scenery is absolutely unreal—towering snow-capped peaks, glacial blue lakes, and some of the most scenic roads we’ve ever driven. Our plan was to hike the Hooker Valley Track, but thanks to a surprise springtime snowstorm, the trail was closed just before the first bridge! Even though we got snowed out, we still had the best time with snowball fights, soaking in the epic mountain views, and just taking in the winter wonderland vibes. To wrap up the adventure, we stayed overnight in Lake Tekapo, checked out the Church of the Good Shepherd, and thawed out in the warm thermal baths. Even with the unexpected snow, this day was pure magic!
