This I would say is my best work to date, and has been quite stressful to complete, but I am happy with the turnout and hope it marks a good new year for me. I'd like to give a shoutout to s0ju for helping with clips and giving suggestions. This was not intended as a full length video, it was only to showcase a small aspect of Confound. s0ju: This video was not to show off Confound's skills or anything because as you can see from the clips, we didn't submit anything amazing. This video was more to showcase SwiftFoX's potential and to experiment with new ideas for video editing. Most USF videos have fast paced music along with quick frags but we wanted to try something new. He and I talked about various things we wanted and worked through each clip bouncing ideas off each other. Overall it was a fun process and we're glad many of you liked it. Produced by: Ronald Griffin (SwiftFoX) Starring (in order) John "s0ju" Park Jonathan "Ownage" Lara Daniel "k3u" Koo Andrew "Whitenamese" Nguyen Eric "Dazed" Moncada Time Taken: 23 days. Special Thanks: s0ju, Woshi, Young, Thpg, ajaX, Zoom, CH12 "10" Community, and everyone that supported USF - Confound. Sound track: The Glitch Mob - Nalepa Monday remix Software: Sony Vegas 9.0 Pro After Effects CS4 Thank you for watching, don't forget to subscribe! ;) Is it really possible to create the perfect frag movie? According to the Movie Vault tastes vary too much to define perfection... However I believe Ronald Griffin has shown us otherwise with this movie, which can only be described in superlatives. This movie is what all editors strive towards - A flawless product. There is not a single mistake, a single point which can be improved on, and it's impossible to criticise. Ronald Griffin guides us through the world of video editing in this movie with stunning originality - Of concept, visual fx and audio. To stretch five frags into three minutes without a moment's boredom, THAT is true skill. Nothing even comes close to what Ronald has sought to create. As the description tells us the purpose of this movie was not to show Confound's skill at SF but to show Ronald's skill at editing, which discredits any valid argument of ''over-editing''. Color corrections on this movie were stunning in themselves giving the maps an entirely different look. General effects such as the use of Twitch and Trapcode Form were very appealing and did not disturb the overall serene grace of the movie. The slow development of the intro and the calm progression of the frags accentuated eachother in a way that no other movie has ever done. Ronald purposely refrained from putting in the best frags so he had freedom to work the frags as he wished. All camera methods - Roams, slowdowns, were awesome, and the soundtrack was the best chosen soundtrack ever in an SF frag movie. Not a single bit of this movie was copied or unoriginal, and the time the editor spent creating this movie (over 30 days) can easily be seen in how flawless everything is, in how not a single mistake has managed to make it into the final product, and how every effect seems to build on the other one creating a whole that is immaculate. I am sure there will be many movies to come from the rest of the SF editing scene, and that they will all be awesome and worth watching, however I sincerely doubt any other movie could strive to mimic the level of perfection displayed in U:SF | Confound. I would like to congratulate Ronald Griffin and thank him for spending his efforts bringing us this movie, and I hope that I will not regret granting this movie a score to match its perfection.
