Sammy gives an update about the latest restoration projects underway in the Museum workshop. Starting with a BSA Rocket III from 1972, he then describes the painstaking work being undertaken on a 1967 Sports Ducati 50cc, before moving on to a bike close to his heart - an Ariel HT5. Lastly, Sammy describes the latest restoration about to go into the Museum, a Bond Minibyke (designed by Lawrie Bond). The unconventional Bond Minibyke was launched at the 1949 Motorcycle Show. Made of aluminium with a tubular frame that housed the fuel tank, it is 2-speed with a Villiers 98cc engine (a deluxe version appeared in 1950 with an uprated 125cc engine). Sammy concludes his update by taking the Minibyke for a spin around the Museum courtyard! The Ariel HT5, specifically the one with the registration 'GOV 132' (which is in the Museum) was a highly successful trials motorcycle developed and ridden by Sammy to numerous victories in the late 1950s and early 1960s. It is considered a landmark machine in the history of trials riding, marking a transition from older, heavier bikes to more modern, lighter designs Visit the Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum in the heart of the New Forest (UK)! @sammymillermotorcyclemuseum @HenryColeTV @AllenMillyard @TheGoodTimesMotorbikeChannel @BrooklandsMemberstv @motorcyclenewsdotcom @ClassicBikeCollections @RoadrunnermotorcyclesUk @ducati #classicbikeguide #motorcyclecollection #realclassic #motorcyclemuseum #classicbike #motorcycleexhibition #sammymillermotorcyclemuseum #ariel #bsa #ducati
