This video follows the journey of a young adult as they try to explore the cause of their excessive sweating. It encompasses a look at this individual’s laptop, as they go about various google searches, text message conversations, and calls. They come across a series of videos on this journey, which provide an overview of hyperhidrosis, antiperspirants, and touch upon some treatment pathways, with an in-depth look at Botox as a tool to manage symptoms. This video aims to reduce the stigma around this topic, and reinforce the relevancy of the condition, so that people can feel comfortable engaging in dialogue and reaching out for help, if needed. This video was made by McMaster University students Shehla Choudhary, Sanjoli Saini, Harene Buvanesan, and Cynthia Wang in collaboration with the Demystifying Research McMaster Program.
