KALINGA PPO CONCLUDES THE 5-DAY TRAINING ON SEARCH, RESCUE AND RETRIEVAL OPERATIONS The 5-day training on Search, Rescue and Retrieval Operations hosted by Kalinga Police Provincial Office concluded on, June 3, 2022 at the Dap-ay Hall, Camp Captain Juan M Duyan, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga. The training aims to educate, equip and enhance the skills of the personnel in terms of Disaster Preparedness, Search, Rescue and Retrieval Operations. About forty (40) personnel of Kalinga PPO took and completed the training. Among the lectures and drills scenarios conducted were Concepts on Search, Rescue and Retrieval Operations; Life Saving Techniques like Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Types, Purpose, and How to do Proper Bandaging and Splinting, Patient Packaging and using of Clove Knot; Basic Water Rescue; and Responding to a Vehicular Traffic Accident (VTA). The lectures and drill scenarios were facilitated by trained personnel headed by PLT CONSTANCIO B ROSITO, C, HRAO, Trained Incident Command System, and Training PCO together with Medical Reserve Force/Station Health Unit of Kalinga PPO, Provincial Medical and Dental Unit, 141 SAC 14 SAB PNP SAF, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management-Kalinga, and Bureau of Fire Protection Kalinga. No less than Ms Jolanta C Baac, Officer, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management-Kalinga graced the closing ceremony. Also, present during the ceremony are PLTCOL JOMARICK B FELINA, DPDA, PLTCOL JETHRO O MOOG, FC, 1st KPMFC, PLTCOL WILSON C LAGAN JR, C, POMU, PMAJ ALBIN L BALUTOC, C, PCADU, who welcomed the visitors and participants, PMAJ GARRY S GAYAMOS, Deputy, PCADU for the introduction of guest of honor and speaker, PCPT DIEZEL GILFILAN, KPLDDB Officer who presented the graduates. As the training concluded, PCOL PETER M TAGTAG, JR, Acting Provincial Director commended and congratulated the personnel for completing the said training. “Kalinga PPO now have additional personnel who are ready to respond in case the situation arises.
