Sour Cream and Buttermilk Pound Cake (All ingredients should be room temperature for best results) Preheat oven 350°F 3 cups of All Purpose Flour sifted or Cake Flour 1 tsp of baking powder 1/4 tsp salt (Sift all dry ingredients together) 6 large eggs 1 cup of buttermilk 1 cup of sour cream 1 cup of butter flavored shortening/ 1 cup of butter 1 tsp of vanilla extract 1/2 tsp almond extract 1/2 tsp coconut extract 2 1/2 cups of sugar In a large bowl, add your shortening and sugar and mix well for 2 minutes. Next add your eggs one at a time until creamy. Now you add your flavors and sour cream. Mix for 1 minute (don't forget to scrape sides of the bowl down for a well combined mixture). Next, pour in 1/3 of dry ingredients and 1/3 of buttermilk alternating until both are done. Mix well for 1-2 minutes. Pour batter into a greased bundt/ loaf baking dish and bake for 55 minutes-1hr or until skewer / toothpick comes out clean in the middle of cake.
