Last night I played my LAST EVER SHOW with Berklee World Strings!! I am so sad I wont be a part of this incredible group after I graduate next week, but so grateful for all the beautiful music I have been a part of, all the amazing people I had the chance to play with. I am so incredibly grateful to Eugene Friesen, our amazing band leader/conductor, who is such an inspiration and an all round wonderful human. Over the past four years we have collaborated with so many amazing people, played music from across the globe and last night was perhaps my favorite show, playing with the Berklee Indian Ensemble, led by Annette Philip, and a whole host of incredible people. We performer originals by Eugene himself and students/grads Angay Mulay, Naseem Alatrash, Colin Jenkins and Vasileious Kostas, as well as this piece I wrote for my sister Jennifer, "Thumbs Up Jen." I worked with the amazing Ben Knorr to arrange this piece and it was so much fun to get to play it with this group! This video was taking during rehearsals right before the show. (I'd have loved to video during the actual performance - maybe I need to find someone who can invent me a fiddlecam which isn't quite so big, bulky and obvious as the gopro, so I can subtly film during performances!!) :) Thank you for everything Berklee World Strings, it has been an amazing four years!
