This session explores the growing digital needs of seniors in Newfoundland and Labrador and how Digital Seniors NL is addressing these challenges through community-based programming. We will share what seniors are struggling with most—from online safety and scam prevention to basic device use—along with real insights gathered from our monthly workshops across the province. Participants will learn how digital literacy impacts seniors’ independence, safety, and social connection, and what community organizations can do to support older adults more effectively. The session will highlight Digital Seniors NL's volunteer-driven model, lessons learned from serving diverse communities, and practical recommendations for improving digital inclusion in Newfoundland and Labrador.
