Myself and Carol was there that night. What a Sweaty Crazy Packed Gig, this Carol’s first experience of real time 90s clubbing. From all the Stepping Out shows I had been on I knew what to expect. Franklyn gets Carol on the mic ‘Say hello to every body in Burton upon Trent’. Sadly Part 2 Tape has deteriorated so much. Does anybody have? What an amazing time for clubbing, with us real pro DJs who know how to cite an audience. Franklyn has amazing charisma to charm; you know you were there… Franklyn had an inkling I was at the shows, but you learn as a DJ not to disturb another DJ while he is performing, Franklyn does refer me to occasionally as Bob from Burton on the shows. Franklyn and I became friends whereas he came to my home and I to his. Sadly we have lost touch through our different activities and ventures. The early years Franklyn had became Britain’s most voted Club DJ. Myself now in my 70’s and retired to my Chateau in South France I have some spare time to edit and publish the Stepping Out Shows tapes, some of which are not all complete as through the years tapes perish. It had been an amazing career. If you were there like myself you’d still feel the excitement on hearing the audiotapes. It’s doubtful the atmosphere of the 80’s Clubbing will ever be repeated. Some DJ's like myself use 'Rhythm and Rhyme' so I let Franklyn use some of mine. If you ever get chance listening to Wolfman Jack or Emperor Rosko do so. So close you eyes, turn up full-wack and enjoy. Love and Hugs to all my old Crew and Dancers. Bob Wood Rostrum Roadshows Do please watch the history of Bob Wood and Rostrum from 1970 until 2005.
