In recent years Mathews has come up with a bow formula that just works. And while there are no major changes to how my V3X 29 test bow shoots this year, there is some innovative technology that helps set it apart from prior year offerings. The most interesting change is the Bridge-Lock sight technology. While the V3X still offers a traditional sight mount, the Bridge-Lock design allows for an alternative dovetail mounting that sits right inside the riser. It helps keep the weight of the bow more centrally balanced and just looks cool. Also new is the Stay Afield System, which is essentially an easily portable cable that lets you make repairs and adjustments to your string and cables from the field - no bow press required. You can even replace your string if the need arises. It’s a brilliant system and it works. I used it to set up my bow and install a peep right in my living room.
