Shutdown of ALLDERS! Last view on Marryat & Scott lift/elevator and escalator

Escalatars can be found at : 6:06 On 22 September 2012 , Allders was shuted down and with that all Marryat & Scott lifts and escalators had their final stage of 'life'. In the past Allders used to have financial problems and tried to close several times. The other possible reason why it they want to shut is possibility of a new shopping center in Croydon and on the bright side , new shopping center advertises that Allders will be back with a name 'Allders Arcade' but this won't leave lifts as they are now. , possibly they will be modernized so does the escalatars. It really depends on the owner if he wants to keep since they are in good condition. In the past I used to go to Allders to have a ride in these lifts when I was small. It had this original indicator above the current one and acually that one the one differance, unfortunately at that time I did't record lift ;). Year ago when I found out that a 'service lift' is avaiable to customers I wanted to go and record it. But in summer holiday 2011 the lift was already out of order and stayed till end.
