This webinar was presented on the 8th of October by Prof. Alessandro Morlacco (pediatric urologist), Dr. Elisa Benetti (pediatric nephrologist), Dr. Maria Sangermano (pediatric nephrologist), Dr. Federica De Corti (pediatric surgeon). All working at Aziendale Ospedale Università Padova, Italy. This webinar focussed on the multidisciplinary evaluation and management of pediatric kidney transplantation. It focussed on the critical aspects of urology in the context of kidney transplantation. We began with an introduction to set the stage, followed by a detailed overview of pre-transplant evaluation, with a special emphasis on patients with known uropathy. Next, we explored key intraoperative considerations that impact surgical outcomes. The session then covered urological complications, discussing their epidemiology, clinical presentation, and management strategies. This webinar was supported by the European Society for Paediatric Urology (ESPU).
