On Day 3 at this Kansas nest — while Osage was already busy demanding food and biting Harvey's feathers — Egg #2 cracked open and a brand new eaglet entered the world. Ellie and Harvey are now the proud parents of TWO eaglets. The nest that held two eggs just days ago is now full of life, full of hunger and full of everything we have been watching and waiting for all season long. 🦅💙 We watched Ellie lay Egg #1 on January 28, 2026. We watched Egg #2 arrive three days later on January 31. We sat through Kansas storms, raccoon raids at 2 AM, barred owl encounters, wind that blew Harvey sideways on the nest — and through all of it Ellie and Harvey never once stopped showing up. Every shift change. Every fish. Every piece of fluff tucked into that nest bowl. All of it led to this moment. Two eggs. Two eaglets. Two miracles. 🥹 Osage — hatched March 6, 2026, named by Farmer Derek's daughter to honor the Osage Nation of Kansas — now has a sibling. The name for Eaglet #2 is yet to be announced by Farmer Derek, but this community already has its whole heart in that nest. Two tiny eaglets. Two devoted parents.
