In 2009, the beautiful cathedral in Longford town, Ireland, was in a catastrophic fire on Christmas Eve. The cathedral choir, the cathedral organist Fintan Farrelly and Longford born soprano Emer Barry were the last to sing O Holy Night in the cathedral. On Christmas Day 2009, mass was held in the Temperance Hall across the road from the cathedral and this year 2024 marks 15 years since the fire. To mark this momentous occasion, the musicians have reunited to sing O Holy Night.
