TODAY’S READINGS First Reading — Ecclus 3: 2-6, 12-14 Psalm — Ps 127: 1-5 Second Reading — Col 3: 12-21 Gospel Reading — Mt 2: 13-15, 19-23 The Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph shows us what love, faith, and obedience look like in everyday life. They were not rich or powerful, yet God chose them to welcome His Son into the world. Mary trusted God completely, even when she did not understand everything. Joseph listened quietly and acted with courage, protecting and providing for his family. Together, they faced uncertainty, hardship, and sacrifice, but they remained united in love and trust in God. The Holy Family reminds us that holiness is lived out at home—in patience, forgiveness, hard work, and care for one another. Their life was simple, but it was deeply rooted in prayer and obedience to God’s will. In a world that often values success and comfort, the Holy Family teaches us to value faith, humility, and love.
