Horror Stop-Motion Short Film by Alan R. García Wong Ana Paola Garza Zapién Daniel David Sáenz Enríquez In this short film, horror and stop-motion animation merge to tell the unsettling story of a father and his daughter whose lives take a terrifying turn after a television broadcast warns of a new pandemic, triggered by a wave of over-evolved insects. As the daughter begins to exhibit violent behavior, the consequences quickly spiral beyond their control. Created in May 2023, Speciation began as a high school project and has since gone on to win Best High School Short Film at the 2023 Tecnológico de Monterrey Film Festival and participate in the Chihuahua Short Film Festival (FECCH) 2025. With immense pride and gratitude to everyone who supported and contributed to the project, Speciation is now available to the public, marking the beginning of many more stories to come. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- En este cortometraje, el terror y la animación en stop motion se fusionan para contar la inquietante historia de un padre y su hija, cuyas vidas dan un giro aterrador después de que una transmisión televisiva advierte sobre una nueva pandemia provocada por una ola de insectos sobre-evolucionados. A medida que la hija comienza a mostrar un comportamiento violento, las consecuencias se salen rápidamente de su control. Creado en mayo de 2023, Speciation comenzó como un proyecto de preparatoria y desde entonces ha ganado el premio a Mejor Cortometraje de Preparatoria en el Festival de Cortometrajes del Tecnológico de Monterrey 2023, además de participar en el Festival de Cortometrajes de Chihuahua (FECCH) 2025.
