HOSHIKO YAMANE + MAKOTO SAKAMOTO Hoshiko Yamane, aka Tukico, is a violinist and a member of the German progressive band Tangerine Dream. Makoto Sakamoto is a noise-ambient artist and a member of the dance music unit Sub Human Bros. Both artists are involved in various other projects. Yamane has been part of Tangerine Dream since 2011, while Sakamoto participates in multiple endeavors, including the duo project Sub Human Bros with his brother, the experimental trio Noctiluca, and as a composer for the Karlsruhe Schlosslichtspiele, organized by ZKM. Their work feels like a conversation between the two, unfolding in real-time. The music is spontaneous, evolving organically, and as you listen, you'll find yourself immersed in the "moment" that passes by, swept up in the sound they create. Despite their vastly different musical backgrounds, their paths crossed in a way that is both surprising and delightful.
