The ride back home was just as intense as the morning commute! The thermometer still reads -1°C (30°F), but with the wind chill, it feels like a brutal -12°C (10°F). In this video, I’m heading home from the city center, navigating through the Aarhus afternoon traffic while trying to stay warm. Cycling in these conditions is all about preparation and the right gear. How I dressed for the -12°C wind chill: Wool socks to keep the toes from freezing. Two pairs of tights and cycling shorts. Wool base layer, T-shirt, and a warm sweater. Windbreaker jacket and a scarf. Double layers of gloves. A snug beanie under my helmet. It’s a beautiful, crisp afternoon in Aarhus, but you can really feel the bite of the winter air. If you’re a fellow winter cyclist or just enjoy the scenery of a frozen Danish city, I hope you enjoy the ride!
