Showtape Title: CEC Future Release Date: March 14, 1991 The March 1991 Show. This tape is themed around the Future, and what everything will be like in the world beyond tomorrow. The Make Believe Band sing original songs that fit with this theme. Many of the songs that first appeared on this tape have since become iconic within the fanbase, and I'm guessing that ShowBiz felt the same, as four of the six songs from this show would be reused in the intermissions of various showtapes released between 1992 & 93, and segment one would be featured in "Best of CEC TV" released in May of 1993. Additionally, "The Future Looks Fun to Me" would be remade in the January 1999 show, with the updated voice actors, making it to be the first CEC original to be remade during the Avenger era. This tape also introduced elements that would become staples of showtapes for multiple years. This is the first show to use the CEC TV intro that was animated by Peeler/Rose Productions for CEC, and features an orchestral score. This intro replaces the old Cyberstar intro, possibly because it uses the ShowBiz name, but more likely because it features footage of the Rock-afire Explosion, and because of this, if the intro continued to be used, ShowBiz could have faced legal consequences from CEI. The new CEC TV intro would be used at the beginning of every segment of every showtape released between 1991 and 1992. It would still be used on the tapes released in 1993, though not before every segment as it originally was. It's final use was on the July 1993 Show, but it would be brought back as a "throwback" on multiple occasions in the 2000s and 2010s. In addition, this is Karlisa McKinney's first show as the voice of Helen. From what I've heard, she was initially hired by ShowBiz as a choreographer around late 1990 or early 1991, and I'm guessing she was asked to voice Helen, as her voice fit with with the new younger Helen that had just been introduced more that Nancy Lenihan's voice did. Karlisa would continue to voice Helen for nine years, with her final show being the April 2000 'Just for Kids' Show, however beginning in 1992, she would only do Helen's speaking voice. This is also the first show to feature the "Chuck E. Kids", a group of children who sang backup vocals for the MMBB, and would appear in music videos, as well as the final show to use the wink sound effect from January 91. Chuck E.
